What I Believe

I love this article by Elder Dallin H. Oaks from the January 2011 Ensign. It just explains the basics so well!

1 We maintain that the three members of the Godhead are three separate and distinct beings and that God the Father is not a spirit but a glorified Being with a tangible body, as is His resurrected Son, Jesus Christ. Though separate in identity, They are one in purpose.


2 Our theology affirms that this mortal life has a purpose. And it teaches that our highest aspiration is to become like our heavenly parents, which will empower us to perpetuate our family relationships throughout eternity.

3 We seek knowledge in the material dimension by scientific inquiry and in the spiritual dimension by revelation. Revelation is God’s communication to man—to prophets and to every one of us if we seek it.

Creative side...where?

i've been thinking more and more about how i should write a new post...especially since my last post was in july. (that long ago?!?!) i think part of my hesitation/forgetfulness in writing stems from my feeling of inadequacy to other bloggers. they all seem more creative and cute.

then i think..."hey, i have a creative side! i can recognize adorable/fashionable things. now, how do i go about expressing it?" so i have decided to re-explore this outlet for my inner creative side and practice, practice, practice. 

so my creative side said, change your blog! so i did. do you like the new background? too busy?

also, i read an article on mormon mommy bloggers. interesting to read an outside-the-mormon-community opinion.
